Misfit Tacos was created during the Covid 19 Pandemic of 2020. Impressions Catering felt the impact of the pandemic in March of 2020 when most, if not all of their scheduled events from March to June were canceled or postponed. By the end of March, Impressions began preparing and selling to-go family meals.

Then in April, Owners Greg and Patsy talked about how fun it would be to do a “Taco Tuesday” and to sell unique street tacos, which is one of Greg’s favorite things to eat. Impressions Catering’s first Taco Tuesday was a hit! Greg loved being creative with global flavor profiles to create fun and delicious street tacos.

Impressions continued Taco Tuesday even after lockdowns were lifted and events began to happen again. It provided an opportunity for Greg to continue to put flavors together that would not normally be on a taco, and soon Greg proposed to open Misfit Tacos on more than just Tuesdays.

After much prayer and consideration, Misfit Tacos became a dream endeavor for Greg and Patsy Hicks and Impressions Catering.
